THE ANALOGUE GENERATION
A short documentary made with Mert Kece back in 2020 exploring why so many of us are turning back to film photography in an age where digital cameras and technologies are more advanced than ever before. Listen to some of Edinburgh's young film photographers as they explain their justifications for shooting film and share some of their favourite shots.
Cycling UK-SPAIN 2022
After graduating university in Spring 2022 I decided to complete my first cycle tour, following one of the classic routes in Europe. Starting in Plymouth UK and finishing in Santander, Spain, I followed La Velodyssee and Eurovelo 1 to cover approximately 1400km. Camping along the way, I took my camera with me to document the trip. I spent a long time deliberating whether I wanted to post this online or just keep it for myself but I thought it may be useful for others planning their first big trip. I hope you enjoy this very rough edit and I apologise for awful French pronunciation throughout.
LRTT GHANA
A film made for Limited Resource Teacher Training (LRTT) in January 2018. This was an incredibly exciting project to shoot and edit and I loved being able to see this project develop from a simple brief into a creative and personal final product.
The charity offer professional development training to teachers around the world and work with them to tackle the problems facing primary education. I loved the challenge of filming a documentary style promotional video and learnt a lot from the process.
TRAVELLING INDONESIA 2019
6 Weeks travelling around the amazing islands of Indonesia including Flores, Bali, Lombok, Komodo.
INDIA: THE NORTH
2nd part of the India montage. Focuses on the hustle and bustle of the Northern cities and contrasts this with the lonely deserts of the East. Tried to focus particularly on sound design in this one and went for a slightly different mood.
STORIES: THE 52s
A music video for London based, The 52s. This video captures the band in a rehearsal space near Kings Cross Station performing their original song 'Stories.'
STRANGELOVE
A short film made with the Edinburgh Filmmaking society as part of their 'Silent Film competition.' DOP, Editor, Colourist.
ALTAI NOMADS
Promotional film for Mongolia based Altai Nomads Travel Company. Having spent a few weeks exploring Mongolia's Beautiful landscapes, wildlife and culture with Altai Nomads, I put together a short sequence of our best bits. We were on of the first groups to travel with this company and they have used this video to help promote their business and have subsequently grown in size and continue to offer great trips to the region.
ATROCITY EXHIBITION
A Short film made in association with Edinburgh Filmmaking Society and the ECA. A horror/thriller where an artist goes to extreme lengths to create his masterpiece.
